Tennis and Pickle ball - Scheduling And Use by MALA Community
Welcome to MALA’s tennis and pickle ball scheduling information corner! We use the TeamReach application to organize regular play and to help owners check court availability.
Below are some rules of the road:
Scheduling
- Scheduling takes precedence: if a time is scheduled, it’s in use.
- If you’d like to play spontaneously, check the TeamReach app: if a time isn’t scheduled, the court is open for play.
- To join MALA’s TeamReach, text 207-522-1328 or follow the 'join' link in our official communications.

Access & Care
- The access code for the lock is shared privately with MALA members through our official channels.
- Net care: tennis nets and pickle ball nets are delicate and were donated by our residents. Please handle them with care. Bikes, pets, skates, scooters, etc. are not allowed on the courts.
- Court use is intended for tennis and pickle ball only.
Requirements
- Access is for MALA owners in good standing. Vetting confirms ownership and HOA dues status.
- Courts are for owners and their accompanied guests only. Do not share access codes with non-owners.
- Please clean up after yourself and take trash with you. Lock the gate when leaving.
- Children must be supervised by an adult owner.

Remember that this is a shared resource for the MALA community. Be a good and courteous neighbor - take care of our court and its equipment, respect the schedule, clean up after yourselves and don't forget to lock-up....and of course, have fun!
What if someone is not on the roster but wants to play?
If someone has not signed up on TeamReach for pickle ball, just drop in and see if it is in use. It is highly encouraged to sign up. It helps and it is highly encouraged to use the scheduling app to know if we even have the numbers to play. If tennis is scheduled, that is more rigid, since there is one court. Check with whomever has it scheduled on TeamReach to see if you can join.
What times are typically scheduled?
Typically scheduled play for pickle ball is 6-8pm in the summer. We move that time earlier as the weather changes. Fridays, light play, 8-10 am. Sat & Sun 9-11. This is in reference to pickle ball only. If Tennis is scheduled, please don’t dispute the right to play pickle ball at that same time. Pickle ball is different, we have three courts and twelve can be playing at once.
How is a dispute about court usage resolved?
Any questions regarding court use, should be directed to any of the leaders on TeamReach who will be happy top assist.
